The school is aiming to finish the project and open the center this summer.
Killington Mountain School is moving ahead with plans for a new 12,000-square-foot athletic training center after tearing down what remained of the former Moguls bar in October. The school purchased the property in 2024 and is now preparing the site for a space designed to support athletes throughout the year.
The proposed facility is expected to include a trampoline center, weight room and additional gym areas. School leaders say they want the building to serve both students and members of the wider community, while also strengthening Killington’s appeal to competitive skiers considering Vermont as a training base.
Claire Butler of Killington Mountain School said the project is intended to give athletes access to modern equipment and a stronger training environment, which she said could matter to families and prospective students across age groups.
The school is aiming to finish the project and open the center this summer. More details are expected at an event scheduled later in November.
