Authorities are investigating the suspicious deaths of a man and a woman found inside a home on Wheelock Street, where an 8-year-old child was also discovered with an injury that was not believed to be life-threatening.
The Attorney General's Office said officers were sent to the address Tuesday morning after a report of a domestic dispute. The child was later taken to a hospital for treatment.
Officials have not released the names of the man or woman, and autopsies were scheduled. Police said there was no sign of an ongoing threat to the public.
The scene drew a heavy police response at the two-family house, with investigators in white protective suits moving in and out of the property. Animal control also removed a dog from the residence, and the animal did not appear to be hurt.
Neighbors said they saw the child being brought out of the home. One resident, Jodi Falcione, described the child as awake and crying when police placed him in a car.
